Things You Should Know

Before Doing The Test

  • Anyone can take the test, inclusive of those who are pregnant or have minor ailments.
  • This is a screening test, assessing genetic markers of your general health. It provides report of the risk you may potentially inherit. This, however, is NOT a diagnostic test and its result cannot be used as medical advice.
  • Your DNA result will remain the same throughout life.
  • Your DNA result may not reflect your current physical condition because it may be influenced by 3 main factors –genetic, nuture/upbringing and lifestyle.
“Although our genetic makeup is constant throughout life, our genes alone do not determine our future. Changes in the environment, such as diet, exercise, exposure to toxic agents, or medications can all influence our genes and traits”
American Society of Human Genetics
