Obesity is associated with type 2 diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular diseases, low quality of life, and many other diseases.

A 2015 survey revealed that 14% of Malaysians are obese, and 30% are considered overweight. The WHO categorizes Body Mass Index (BMI) kg/m2 as:

Underweight

<=18.5  kg/m2

Normal

18.5 - 25 kg/m2

Overweight

>=25.0 kg/m2

Obese

>=30.0 kg/m2

What To Expect?

  • The pharmacist or staff will ask you to remove your shoes while taking your height and weight measurement

  • The measurement will be completed within 5 minutes

  • The pharmacist will review your BMI and advise you accordingly
