保护心血管
美国心脏协会( The American Heart Association)建议多吃单不饱和脂肪 (monounsaturated oils) 和更好的多不饱和脂肪 (polyunsaturated oils),并用这些不饱和脂肪来替代其他的饱和脂肪和反式脂肪(我们俗称的坏脂肪)。黑芝麻拥有高含量的不饱和脂肪,能够有助于促进心血管健康,并减低中风和心脏病的风险。一些研究更显示黑芝麻能够有助于避免血管壁变厚,而造成血管失去弹性。
抗氧化功能
黑芝麻里所拥有的芝麻素和维生素E都是强效的抗氧化剂。人体细胞时时刻刻都在收到氧化作用,过多的氧化作用造成细胞老化和受损,进而促成人体老化和多种疾病。
其它的功效
- 有助于改善高血压(一项研究显示每天服用2.5克的黑芝麻,长达4个礼拜,有助于降低收缩压(systolic blood pressure) )。
- 有乌发养发的功效。
- 能够解决肠燥便秘。
食用方法
- 黑芝麻被擂成粉末状,并制成各种甜品,例如黑芝麻糊,饼干等等。

白芝麻,黑芝麻,傻傻分不清?!
白芝麻较为柔软,味道清淡。白芝麻多已去皮,相较之下营养成分便比黑芝麻低。食用以白芝麻为好,药用则以黑芝麻为佳。
