黑芝麻的功效
黑芝麻为脂麻科植物脂麻(Sesamum indicum L.)的种子，普遍用于各种食谱中。 黑芝麻以其丰富的营养价值和保健功能而闻名。

黑芝麻拥有高含量的不饱和脂肪，也就是我们俗称的“好油”。此外，黑芝麻里的芝麻素和维生素E也让黑芝麻成为了食用与药用的佳品。
保护心血管
美国心脏协会( The American Heart Association)建议多吃单不饱和脂肪 (monounsaturated oils) 和更好的多不饱和脂肪 (polyunsaturated oils)，并用这些不饱和脂肪来替代其他的饱和脂肪和反式脂肪（我们俗称的坏脂肪）。黑芝麻拥有高含量的不饱和脂肪，能够有助于促进心血管健康，并减低中风和心脏病的风险。一些研究更显示黑芝麻能够有助于避免血管壁变厚，而造成血管失去弹性。
抗氧化功能
黑芝麻里所拥有的芝麻素和维生素E都是强效的抗氧化剂。人体细胞时时刻刻都在收到氧化作用，过多的氧化作用造成细胞老化和受损，进而促成人体老化和多种疾病。
其它的功效
- 有助于改善高血压（一项研究显示每天服用2.5克的黑芝麻，长达4个礼拜，有助于降低收缩压(systolic blood pressure) ）。
- 有乌发养发的功效。
- 能够解决肠燥便秘。
食用方法
- 黑芝麻被擂成粉末状，并制成各种甜品，例如黑芝麻糊，饼干等等。

- 用于食物上的一些点缀或沙拉酱。
- 制成特殊的雪糕口味。
白芝麻，黑芝麻，傻傻分不清？！
白芝麻较为柔软，味道清淡。白芝麻多已去皮，相较之下营养成分便比黑芝麻低。食用以白芝麻为好，药用则以黑芝麻为佳。
